  • I think I finally found an answer as to why there are still conduits after you use the RFI.

See, it affects only people who were exposed to the ray sphere. As we can see with Alden Tate for example, conduits can be made without a ray sphere, so it killed the conduits we saw, since they were exposed to the ray sphere(Well, Sasha and Alden aren't certeinly dead. Remember?), but Delsin for example, wasn't affected.

    What do you think?

    • He was naturally activated

        Loading editor
    • Your theory is false, kou was killed by the rfi but she wasn't activated by Ray field radiation.

        Loading editor
    • We don't know how did Bertrand activated her.

        Loading editor
    • Wrong,  Wrong, WRONG! You know the plague right? Yeah, in the RFI explosion, it survived and evolved to turn some people who are infected, to conduits, that's why conduits, are still here.

Dammit, I'm sick as dog today and when I'm sick I get angered with EVERYTHING.

The truth is that some conduits survived because they were resistant OR it activated conduit-positives while killing activated conduits.

    • I heard a theory. What if the thing that Zeke broke in the RFI caused it to spare a few conduits randomly?

Hmmmm, yeah, they didn't repair it they just recharged it so it didn't work properly

So this is a good theory? And why are you so sure about the pleague?

        Loading editor
    • Yes your theory is good and what do you mean?

        Loading editor
    • Your thing with the Ray Field Plague mutating. Why are you sure about that?

        Loading editor
    • Im not sure about the plague thing, its been confirmed i think, that the conduits survived because they were resistant to the RFI blast or were too far away.

        Loading editor
    • Far away isn't a possibility, since we know people in Africa for example died from it.

        Loading editor
    • I mean the further it went, the weaker the effects.

        Loading editor
    • Same thing. African people DIED. Seattle is closer to New Marais, since we have a bit of a comparison with America.

        Loading editor
    • Probably only weak conduits died however stronger conduits survived like delsin but cole died because he was at the center.

        Loading editor
    • Just like the Beast. If he was far away from it, he would live. But still.

        Loading editor
    • Some conduits survived the explosion because they were immune to it.

    • 90% of conduits died  brooke and celia got there power (right after the beast died) in new marais   Abigail grew up in New Jersey, not knowing she was one of the many Conduits who survived the RFI's activation. This all changed, however, when her powers awakened somewhere in her late teens   only a year after the RFI blast, a bully pushed Eugene too far, causing his powers to awaken   ( i don't know about hank)  and we all know delsin  so as far as i can tell non active conduits lived although we dont know about sasha or alden  Conduits are the result of a rare mutation in human beings. This ostensibly named "Conduit gene" is naturally occurring. Those with the Conduit gene usually have no powers at birth and may live their whole lives without realizing what they are

      Naturally

A Conduit is able to unlock his/her powers naturally. However, as evidenced, it appears that although a Conduit can unlock his/her ability this way, the power will not appear until an event occurs that causes pressure on the Conduit. Abigail Walker's powers appeared after she had a fight in school with a girl, Eugene Sims had his powers shown after being repeatedly bullied at school and Henry Daughtry was a criminal always followed by the police. This method was extremely rare although it became common after time, possibly because Ray Field Radiation mutated after the activation of the RFI to destroy the sickness and instantly activate the powers of any Conduit who catches it. (Known products of the process: Delsin Rowe, Abigail Walker, Eugene Sims, Henry Daughtry.)

    • I'm not even going to bother correcting you.

    • Some Conduits probably still had their powers but all drained until nothing left after the RFI explosion. Their powers triggered again after some big incidents. Well, I dont know. This is something I cant understand but the InFamous 2 evil ending would make sense a bit. Unfortunately, it wont be cuz if it was, many Conduits would pass by the road by now. But it tells me that some conduits wont die from the RFI but just drained them all until nothing.

    • Guys guys, you want to know what happend, I will tell you. Sucker Punch wanted to continue the inFAMOUS franchise as it was so good and populer, however they did not know what to do. They couldn't think of whether to follow the classic, herioc good ending, or the dark, twisted evil ending, so they checked which was picked most. The answer was being the good guy so they set to work. The only problem - how conduits survived. They racked their brains to think of a way, alas, they could not. They had only two options, change to evil ending, or the unthinkable. They chose ... to be lazy and say that some conduits JUST HAPPEND TO SURVIVE. You can think of any reason you want, but the real one is Sucker Punch just didn't care. Then, we got the atrocity known as Second Son (which I'm not saying was a bad game, but it was **** compared to the original and even the second game), meaning inFAMOUS was no more. Are only hope is that SP return to their fans and pretend Second Son never happend. Hopefully, we'll get a new game, following the evil ending, which would make sense. Who knows, maybe the millitary defeated   *spoiler* Cole/The Beast and had him locked up in a place like Curdan Cay, but just for him and a full on prison, with devices weakening him and stopping him from using his powers. Although I won't go into full details of my ideal next inFAMOUS (in this comment) but my point is made. Stop looking for a reason for the stupid plot holes SS has, like survivng conduits, healing with video and Delsin killing innocents, look for what the future brings, in a new inFAMOUS, a good inFAMOUS. Well if you read this far congrats and thank you. Goodbye

    • You do realize a sequel was always intended from the get-go after inFAMOUS 2 right?  Not everything was bad about Second Son. At least we got TWO good characters in Abigial and Reggie. Thirdly, they're not going to ignore a game like Second Son, especially after First Light did so well.  Finally, evil karma will never, ever be canon as long as the majority of players goes for the good path.

    • True = Second Son wasn't terrible.

True = Some of the characters were likable

True = It's very unlikely they will ignore SS

However your missing my point, (yes I am the person who wrote the comment, but now with an account) which was that Sucker Punch didn't give us a reason. I did like Second Son (well 5/10 but close enough), however it just didn't connect to the universe very well, seeing that I can spend about an hour listing of all thing in SS that didn't make sense. I was a bit harsh towards SS in my comment, but this is something that does bother me. If Sucker Punch did come up with reasons for things like surviving conduits, then I wouldn't be complaining. When I say Ignore SS, I don't mean ignore the game (or First Light which I didn't mention), I mean make it non-canon. Also, evil will be ignored if SP decides to ignore it, they may not always base it of the players. In all truth, I love the inFAMOUS franchise to death, but I still get irritated by some simple flaws. Anyway, sorry if you did find my comment harsh, I'm just a fan hoping for a game as good as the first to be released. Thanks for reading.

    • Ok here is where all of you are wrong think back in the first game its showed in the end that future cole got his powers later in his life without a raysphere meaning that if that is true then even after the rid went off and killed all conduits there are still potential conduits which in turn also means that they can do the same thing future Cole or kesller did get their powers naturally which explains how there are still conduits to this day and evidence shows that zeke is alive in second son as he spoke to demain rose on the phone meaning that the true course of events in infamous 2 was a good karmic ending which in turn led to infamous second son.
